2018 Summer Camp Speakers:
Week 3, June 17-22

Junior Camps (4th-6th Grade): Brock Youngren
brock youngrenBrock Youngren serves as the pastor of the Algona Evangelical Free Church in Algona, IA. He is excited to serve an awesome Christ and has dedicated both his personal life and ministry life to discipling other Christians so that they would look more like Christ. He’s excited about this year’s summer camp theme, Cultivate, and how it may play into this passion for discipleship.

Brock and his wife, Allison, live in Algona, Iowa. They have four children and several pets, including a Great Dane. They love being outdoors and being active, especially playing sports or being in the woods.

Junior High Camps (7th-8th Grade): Marshall Goodenow
marshall goodenowMarshall has served as the youth pastor at Grace Community Bible Church in Kirksville, MO, since 2003. He graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN, with a degree in youth ministries. He and his wife, Trina, reside in Kirksville with their three energetic kids, Nadia, Fani, & Pesho. Marshall enjoys golfing, woodworking, and cheering on the Cubs and Hawkeyes in his free time. He has previously worked on the Hidden Acres summer staff and has been a guest speaker at several camp events over the years. He’s excited to share the Word of God with your children this summer!

Science Camp (4th-6th Grade): Josh Denhart
josh denhartAfter serving as a children's pastor for over 10 years, Josh transitioned his vocational energies toward creating KidMin Science: Science-Inspired, Christ-Focused Resources. Josh is a seasoned educator with BA in Chemistry Education, a MA in Effective Instruction, and National Board Certification in Young Adult and Adolescent Science. As a former High School chemistry teacher, Josh melded his love for Science and Christ, creating “The Amazing Chemistry Show,” a traveling gospel-centered stage show with fire, explosions and foam. Carrying this Ministry of Chemistry even further, Josh created three “Science VBS” curricula and a family resource entitled "Science Devotions @ Home."  Josh is a published author and children's magazine columnist, and he has a regular spot on local TV preforming fun science.
